Bilingualism and Cognitive Control

We are interested in understanding the usage of two languages in daily life and their consequences on cognition. It has been shown that higher proficiency in second language modulates anticipatory ability, which helps in better conflict monitoring and enhances better use of proactive inhibitory control.

We are also interested in investigating the relationship between second language anxiety and general cognitive control at our lab.

Cognition and Emotion

Emotional information affects ongoing cognitive activity. We are interested in examining the role of positive and negative emotions on general cognitive processes. We explore the effect of positive and negative emotion in proactive inhibitory control.

Decision Making

We are also interested in examining the role of emotion and language in decision-making.
